A George V silver presentation salver for The King s Royal Rifle Corps , (60th Regiment of Foot), of circular form with a gadrooned border, raised on four claw and ball feet, the centre with a regimental badge with a Peninsula War battle honour and five facsimile signatures. Hallmarked for The Goldsmiths Silversmiths Co, London, 1915. The signatures are of five young officers, who were attached to the King s Royal Rifles in 1915/16 on a course of instruction, and on leaving, presented this salver to the Officers Mess. They were Hal Verelst, (Coldstream Guards), killed in action in September 19
