A Fine Set of 12 Mahogany Dining Chairs of Late George IV/Early William IV Period, c.1830 Made c.1830, these chairs employ the regency sabre legs but the rounded profiles of the front rails and the slimmer proportions, together with aspects of the carving, make it clear that these chairs are of slightly later date. The timber used throughout is of excellent quality with lovely flame figuring on the head rails of each of the chairs. These rails have beautiful carved detailing with versions of the anthemion motif used to each end amidst a scrolling design and then a gadrooned section to the cent
