A Fine French Lyre Support Mahogany Centre Table, 2 nd Quarter of the 19 th Century c.1830 The table with a waisted plinth or platform base, the concave shaping allowing chairs to be placed either side if required. From the platform two lyre-shaped supports of unusual delicacy link to the fine plain frieze, veneered in mahogany of fine figure and colour. The table top is a white and grey veined marble which is a replacement specially chosen to complement the colour of the table base.
