A fine and large pair of 19 th Century Ormolu wall lights in the Rococo Revival Style These wall lights are executed in finest ormolu, the gilded bronze beautifully cast and finely chased. The lights are asymmetrical in form and are related to an 18th century model, c.1749, that is given to the designer Jean-Claude Duplessis by the authors of the landmark work on ormolu Vergoldete Bronzen, see Vol. I p. 143 fig. 2.II.17.
