A charming Victorian tortoiseshell and silver piqué work etui, of shaped rectangular form with cut corners at the back and a hinged cover, inlaid with foliate branches bearing flowers and grapes, initials on the cover, with a small silver plaque incised with initials on the cover, the red velvet and silk lined interior fitted with a notecard, needle case, silver thimble, propelling pencil, bodkin and a small enamel pot inscribed ‘ Trifles these respect’ .
