Bootes Angle Iron Bench seat Bootes, Our mild steel angle iron bench. The angle iron is bent, shaped and welded. We decided to leave the welds showing and not grind them off to enhance the designed look. We then degreased the mild steel frame and then pickled it before applying a matt clear lacquer the whole frame. This then gives an interior coating to the steel. The seat and backs are upholstered on multiply boards and fixed to the metal frame with steel battens and screw fixings. Our Bootes bench is a very simple design but gives great effect and is very comfortable. There are many fabrics
