Stunning handwoven large U Shopper Basket, from a fair trade company based in the heart of Bolgatanga, in the Upper East Region of Ghana. These wonderfully and intricately patterned baskets are handwoven by women from dried elephant grass, and are extremely durable and flexible. The company is a Non-governmental Organisation which helps both widows and children, and encourages traditional handcrafting.
