Our TIPU Spice Jar is perfect for storing all types of ground or whole spices. Made from borosilicate glass, the TIPU jar features a handcrafted wooden lid made using traditional techniques in the Indian town of Channapatna. Each lid is made from locally sourced Hale Maara (Ivory Wood) and carefully turned on a lathe to achieve the desired form. A natural resin called lac is pressed onto the wood while the heat and friction from the lathe melts the lac, allowing it to adhere beautifully.
