Occasionally we release a cask for the big smoke lovers and this one certainly fits the bill. The English is brand has always made a range of Smokey whiskies and it is this smokiness rather than peatiness that we think sets us apart. A traditional peaty whisky is gives a taste of phenols (often likened to tcp or tarmac – and definitely can be an acquired taste. Our smokiness gives a different type of flavour - more like a bonfire of leaves and grass clippings, this sweeter, richer smoke is far more approachable and a great option for those who struggle with a more tradition peated whisky.
