Grace and I went through her Grandad's coin collection to pick out our favourites to make this commemorative necklace for her. Inspired by an antique coin necklace where by coins would have been worn around the neck for safe keeping and removed to pay for things. This also plays on the very out of fashion style of 'wearing your wealth'. The bold over opulence, now considered crass, 'lower class' and very out of fashion makes me love it even more.
