Our Herbarium collection began as a handpainted wallpaper. Inspired by the bedroom of 18th century Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus’ home, Tess painted plant studies onto individual sheets of parchment paper and pasted them in an overlapping decoupage style. This bespoke project lead to our first wallpaper design. Herbarium Forest evokes the calm of an English woodland and includes verdant ferns, daisies and wild garlic. Tess's original studies have been placed onto a warm lime wash ground, creating a charming wallpaper with the feel of a mural.
