This unlacquered brass octagon centre door knob is designed for installation on the external face of a front door, providing a fixed grip to help pull the door closed. It does not operate a latch mechanism, making it suitable for doors fitted with a rim lock, mortice lock or traditional night latch. The distinctive octagonal shape adds definition to entrance doors, particularly on painted timber or solid wood front doors.
