The cottage gate with a curved top rail. Solid tongue and groove boarding across the lower half, turned timber bars above, and a dome that rises gently across the width of the gate. Of the three cottage tops we build, this is the one that softens a plain boundary most. The curve takes the hard line off a tall gate, and the open bar section stops it reading as a solid slab at the front of a house. All timber, bars included.
