Wren by Mark Hearld was developed from a hand-carved linocut inspired by a visit to Paris and the eighteenth-century French decorative papers featured in Papiers Dominotés Français . Printed in burgundy on natural linen union, the design brings together birds, foliage and flowing ribbon-like forms within a richly patterned repeat. Retaining the character of the original print, Wren reflects Hearld’s fascination with the meeting of natural forms and decorative design.
