Herring Moon by Jonathan Gibbs was developed from an original wood engraving and draws upon the artist’s experience of living and working on the east coasts of Scotland and England. Printed in deep blue and ochre on off-white cotton, the design retains the character and texture of the original engraving, bringing together maritime influences, landscape and pattern.
