Deep Sea by Emily Sutton was developed from the artist’s original hand-drawn artwork and draws inspiration from the marine life and plant forms of the underwater world. Printed in blue, pink and burgundy on white linen, the design brings together a collection of carefully observed aquatic motifs within a richly detailed repeating pattern. The design forms part of the St Jude’s collection of artist-designed fabrics and reflects Sutton’s interest in natural history, observation and decorative design.
