Silverwood Sandwich tins are all 1.5" deep with vertical sides. This ensures that the sponge mixture rises to its maximum height giving a desirable deep, feather-light sponge. The vertical sides (as opposed to tapering sides), produce a better looking more classical sponge, and by using the raised bases instead of the flat ones (never both together) you can create a hidden cavity to house your favourite creamy/fruity filling. The loose base combined with the easy release properties enables simple and speedy (to assist cooling) removal of the cooked sponge with minimum damage to the edges. ★ Ha
