Our bread proving baskets (bannetons) are hand-made from sustainable unbleached birchwood cane or rattan. They are used to support the dough while it rises to give it improved structure, just before it goes into the oven to bake. The small basket is suitable for making 500g loaves and the large basket is suitable for making 1kg loaves.
