Angela Uren Catch the Wind Angela is based in Somerset and paints plein air, exploring texture, pattern and form. 'Nothing stays the same - it continually changes. My paintings are my response to this. The land totally absorbs me, immersed in that moment, drawn to the patterns and lines all around me. It is not the likeness but my emotional response to it, a recording of that time, that place. Applying oil paint onto canvas - with a knife - helps me to connect to what I see in a physical way, and translate these personal responses.' Oil on linen, 30cm x 25cm ex floating frame
