The Alba yarn collection is exclusive to Sealy MacWheely and has been blended and spun specially to my specifications with a unique blend of top quality British bred fibres. Each colourway has been inspired by the landscape, language and folklore of the beautiful country of Scotland: Smàrag is the Scottish Gaelic name for the precious stone, emerald. Although there are no emerald deposits to be found in Scotland this beautiful shade of green is reminiscent of the mystical Tobar Loch Shianta on the Isle of Skye, a healing well surrounded by wildflowers and plants used traditionally as medicinal
