Safety Bonds are used as a secondary safety device for use with lanterns, lights speakers etc. to take the load should the primary suspension fail. Safety Bonds don’t have a specific standard, they are manufactured using the guidance specified in the standard for the use of lifting equipment for performance – BS7906-1:2005. This states the luminaire can drop no more than 150mm before the secondary suspension supports the load. Our safety bonds are manufactured in house, with our custom-built drop test bed and regular testing ensures that we continue to meet the required standard. Safety Bonds
