These are detailing tools used on between-centre work, where the grain is running parallel to the lathe bed. Spindle gouges are used to create coves, beads and other profiles on goblets, vases, bed posts, candle sticks and other spindle projects. GENERAL CARE We recommend applying a light oil to the blades when not in use to keep them in perfect condition.
