The 8mm spindle roughing gouge has a shallower flute than a traditional roughing gouge. The shallow flute allows for more finesse and control when turning down to the required size. This reduces the chances of chipping and breakages, on these sometimes-brittle materials. GENERAL CARE We recommend applying a light oil to the blades when not in use to keep them in perfect condition.
