Bevel edge chisels are the most versatile and universally used of all bench chisels and should form an integral part of any woodworkers toolkit. They can be used either free-hand making a gentle parting cut or with light mallet strokes. Side bevels reduce the risk of binding in the cut as well as allowing access to undercuts, like dovetails. Not recommended for heavy duty applications. Traditional bolster and ferrule design.
