An oak-aged Baltic Porter matured for six months in oak. Smooth and complex, with notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, dried fruit and gentle oak, balanced by the clean finish characteristic of the style. Born on the shores of the Baltic Sea, Baltic Porters were originally inspired by the strong porters exported from Great Britain in the 18th century. Local brewers adapted the style to suit colder brewing conditions, using lager yeast and cool fermentation to create a beer with the rich character of a porter but a cleaner, smoother finish.
