Pure Punjabi Garam Masala is our traditional family recipe, taught and passed on from mother to daughter. We always use whole spices and they are mixed and hand-ground in small batches, and made faithfully to the traditional methods of Punjabi kitchens. This was taught to Surinder by her mother when she was 11 years old and passed onto Safia. Traditional recipes are dying out, in favour of commercially mass-produced spices blends and we are proud to preserve ours. We carefully grind our spices to just the right consistency, which is on the coarse side and not too fine. A coarse grind releases
