Tile cranks have two components - the uprights and the base/cover. The tile size determines which base/cover is required and the height of the stacking area and thickness of the tile determine the upright size. The uprights slot into a base/cover at either end, producing a frame into which the tiles are place ready for firing. Ledges protrude from the uprights support the tiles.
