Based on Etruria marls, highly plastic with good throwing properties. A heavily sanded red open body, excellent stability to warping. Potterycrafts garden terracotta clays suitable for throwing, hand building, modelling and tile making. Firing range - 1060 - 1160°C. Shrinkage (w-f) 9% at 1100°C. 0.34% expansion at 500°C. Texture (1-smooth 10 coarse) 5. Fired colour: Red / Dark Brown.
