The damper is pre-set to close when the kiln temperature reaches 550°C, it opens again when the kiln cools down to 250°C. There is no need to set the opening and closing temperature and no complicated controller as the temperatures are factory pre-set. The auto-damper eliminates the need to come back to the kiln during firing and removes the risk of the flue remaining open throughout the firing creating a potential hazard. The Heatlock keeps the kiln door locked until the kiln has cooled to a safe temperature preventing damageto kilndoor and eliminating risk of burning. The lock is discretely
