Description These high performance, roll wrapped carbon fibre tubes are not cosmetically finished and show unidirectional, rather than woven, carbon fibre with a slight ribbed texture on the outside. They are manufactured using alternating layers of high strength unidirectional carbon fibre running both length-ways down the tube for stiffness, and at 90° around the tube to provide hoop strength. As a result, while pultruded carbon fibre tubes have good longitudinal strength, roll wrapped tubes are preferable for applications where the tube may be subject to a variety of forces including bend,
