This 1:72 scale model of Oxford's highly detailed Westland Lysander is a replica of R9125, which survived World War II and is now preserved and on display in the RAF Museum in Hendon, London. The Lysander was a British Army liaison aircraft which had been made initially under licence in Canada and introduced in 1939. No. 225 Squadron was reformed in October 1939 after having been disbanded in 1918. The Squadron was based at Odiham in Hampshire and equipped with Westland Lysanders, our model being one which joined the Squadron in 1940. It was used for reconnaissance patrols along the south coas
