The Humber Super Snipe was made by the British car manufacturer Humber Limited (later the Rootes Group) between 1938 and 1967. It was the company’s flagship over five series of the marque between 1957 and 1967. Of all the Humber models only the Snipe appeared as an Estate version from 1957. Big, heavy and underpowered, fired by an Armstrong Siddeley 4 cylinder engine, nevertheless it was loved by upmarket motorists – there was even a picnic table for rear seat passengers - as well as the public sector including the Police and even taxi drivers.
