The Ford Cortina was produced in the UK between 1962 and 1982, across five generations of the marque, three of which - the MkI, MkII and Mk III - have all been tooled up as Oxford miniatures. During the 1970s, the Cortina was the UK's best-selling car. It was also highly successful on the rally circuit, which Oxford has already captured in previous releases. Ford launched the MkII version of the Cortina in 1966. Designed by Roy Haynes, it was produced at the Ford Dagenham Works and came as a 2, 4 or 5-door saloon.
