The 6 inch Newtonian telescope is the ideal starting point when first starting with telescopes. A few reasons are as follows, they offer, a great quality to which meets the eye, but also when using for basic astrophotography. As the Ideal 6 has a shorter range focal length of 750mm and the Ideal 6L has a focal length of 1200mm, a longer tube is required to suit this design. But don’t worry… there is only a very small price difference!
