Shellac Barrier Seal is a quick drying ‘primer’ for all wooden floors, new and old, and is ideal for use under water-based lacquers. Shellac Barrier Seal may also be used as a sealer coat on floors which are just going to be waxed to give a low traffic coating. It acts as a sealer on re-sanded old floors, preventing any oil or wax contamination affecting Mylac water-based lacquer used as finishing coats. Shellac Barrier Seal adds extra depth and life when used under water based coatings on new and old floors.
