Here we have some of our knife scales. We were asked a while ago if we could make stabilised scales and figured it's only a large pen blank and gave it a go. All of our scales are stabilised and many are coloured. We use a variety of timbers although we do like working with sycamore and horse-chestnut as it seems to take colour well. Poplar and Maple are very popular too and we have been making custom and hybrid knife scales for those who want something unique. Some of the wooden scales may be slightly warped or not cut perfectly even but still plenty of material both sides to make some stunni
