This Series 1 Moulton features a highly unusual specification that sets it apart from any known production model. It could be considered to be a ‘non-separable’ stowaway or perhaps a series 1 model built up with components from an AM2. It is likely to have been assembled in the early 1980s. The frame is a full series 1 specification, but has a removeable ‘plug-in’ carrier and brazed carrier strut foot, so probably originated as a Moulton 4 speed frame. The holes for cable guides confirm that a two-speed specification was not the original intention. The rear fork has the extra lower reinforcing
