On the 21st of April 1918, Canadian Ace, Roy Brown made an attack on the Red Baron's triplane whilst it was attacking one of his fellow pilots. Manfred von Richthofen crashed shortly after and Brown was credited with his death. The facts of the incident have been a source of much research and it is suspected that ground fire played
