Designed by Florence Attwood, The Merrythought Bear was one of her earliest pattern designs, and was described as 'feather-light and beautifully finished', and made from 'Old Gold' mohair. Honouring the details of the original bear, our recreation brings this important teddy bear back to life using the same traditional skills and materials, and is hand-crafted from wavy golden mohair plush, paired with chestnut-coloured pure wool felt paws featuring hand-stitched claw detailing.
