Rather than use very large pieces of wood to achieve the drawer front curves, which would be very wasteful, we build on the 18th-century technique of veneering, with our own workshop cut veneers. We add to this the 20th century technique of laminating. We use vertical bands of veneer to achieve/gain texture. The top band of each drawer we sculpt into a flared propeller edge which allows us to create the handle and give a second curve. Two curves for the price of one.
