Hand turned from green bay wood, Unfolding is a one-of-a-kind wooden vessel that celebrates the natural movement of timber as it dries. Its gently distorted form, fine walls and contrasting rosewood base make it equally suited to display as a sculptural object or contemporary decorative vessel. Unfolding is a one-of-a-kind vessel, hand turned from freshly felled bay wood. I created it as part of my Held Forms collection, which explores how green wood changes as it dries.
