Wild Thistle Intarsia Purple Cashmere Wrap
Johnstons of Elgin
£695
A cashmere wrap in Sloe Berry Donegal, knitted with a Wild Thistle intarsia motif worked directly into the fabric. Intarsia is a knitting technique where the pattern is formed by separate blocks of colour rather than carried yarn, giving the motif a clean, precise finish on both sides of the cloth. Knitted in our Hawick mill from Donegal cashmere, with the nep texture of the Donegal yarn adding a quiet surface interest to the background. The Wild Thistle motif draws on Scotland's national emblem, rendered here in a way that feels considered rather than decorative.
