With its knitted cotten backing and good stretch in all directions, Vinyl (Ambla) become extremly widely used during the late 1960s, and has remained the staple for many interior trim parts to this day. Vinyl / Ambla: Approximately 140cm wide, and at 1.2mm thickness. Coloured grained PVC plastic. Correct grain for this period of automotive vehicles. Commonly referred to as Ambla , which was the ICI trade name for this material. Knitted cotton backing allowing for stretch in all directions. Commonly used on cars from the mid-1960s onward. Used for Seating and general trim work around the car. T
