This shawl was created for Jamiesons of Shetland using their Chunky Marl yarn. For this design I wanted to show that lace work can also be done in a heavier weight yarn ideal if the thought of working in cobweb or lace yarn seems daunting or if you are new to lace knitting. The shawl starts by knitting a simple crescent shape very quick to knit! Yarn overs at the edge of the crescent makes picking up stitches a doddle! Then a knitted on lace border is added a hyperlink is included if you are unfamiliar with this technique. Finally stitches are picked up along the straight edge of the crescent
