Ella has always loved the little Crofthouses you see dotted all over Shetland. She is known for making cushions in the shape of traditional Crofthhouses and her 2016 Shetland Wool Week design is another use of one of her favourite motifs, this hat is a great introduction to Shetland inspired colourwork using traditional skills and a contemporary pattern. Size: 1 size to fit average head approx 22inches, the main stitch pattern is a 12 stitch repeat so by adding/removing repeats you could alter the size. This would affect your crown stitch count so bare that in mind. Finished gauge: approx 26 s
