Our Wild Garlic Honey is only produced in favourable years when conditions allow large enough areas of wild garlic to flourish early in the year, in deciduous forest. It is a fine honey with a pale color and a delicious sweet taste tinged with the subtle flavour of fresh garlic. Also known as bear’s garlic or cow’s leek, it is used as a food, especially in spring. Its leaves have a garlic-like taste. In Romania it grows wild, up to altitudes of 1900 m, preferring the damp and shady deciduous forests of Muntenia, Transylvania and southern Moldavia.
