This is a detailed scale model kit for adult collectors. Not for children under 14 years old. Beddgelert was built in 1878 by the Hunslet Engine Company (Leeds - works number 206) to supplement the fleet of the North Wales Narrow Gauge Railways (now part of the Welsh Highland Railway from Dinas to Rhyd Ddu). Its 0-6-4T arrangement resulted in a large overhang at the cab end, which meant it was prone to derailing the leading wagons on sharp curves.
