Hand enamelled sterling silver round guilloché pendant with vitreous enamel in a transparent mint green. The design is inspired by the decorative technique of Guilloché in which a very precise, intricate and repetitive pattern is mechanically engraved into an underlying material via engine turning. In the 18th century the use of translucent enamel over silver and gold Guilloché designs was used to create stunning jewellery and objects popularised by the Fabergé Egg.
