Rich and aromatic, dark amber, thick and dense, with a jelly-like set that softens when stirred. This is Scottish heather honey from the Pentland Hills at West Linton, gathered from flowering moorland in late summer. One of Scotland s most distinctive honeys, and good on warm toast or stirred into black tea. About Scottish Heather Honey The bees forage common heather, also known as ling, a native moorland plant that flowers from late July to September. It is a short but important source of nectar, and the Scottish weather and winds across the exposed moorland shape how much each season gives.
