Ryeland is one of England's oldest shortwool breeds, producing a fine, soft fibre with a natural crimp and gentle handle. The medium-fine wool is notably softer than many British breeds, making it well suited to garments worn close to the skin. Its good stitch definition and springy character make it a pleasure to work with for lightweight, refined knitting projects. Best used for: Lightweight knitwear, scarves, shawls, baby garments, next-to-skin accessories, fine socks Skein weight: 25g (approx. 0.9 oz) 50g (approx. 1.8 oz) 100g (approx. 3.5 oz) Yarn Weight: 2 Ply (Super Fine) * Fibre: 100%
